UP News: Significant action by Siddharthnagar police and STF in paper leak case, four accused arrested with duplicate materials

Uttar Pradesh : Despite the cancellation of the police recruitment exam by the UP government, the crackdown on the ‘Munna Brothers’ continues. Siddharthnagar police and STF’s Gorakhpur unit have achieved a major success.

In a joint operation, four suspects have been arrested. This gang’s network extends from West Bengal to UP. A large quantity of duplicate materials, cash, and other items have been seized from the suspects. They have also been holding onto the mark sheets and certificates of exam candidates. Action will also be taken against the gangster involved.

SP Prachi Singh of Siddharthnagar informed that the police and STF team succeeded. The suspects were arrested near Ganesh Tiraha on the Badhni-Dhebarua Shohratgarh road near the Nepal border. She mentioned that the UP Civil Police recruitment exam was held on February 17 and 18. A significant number of solvers were caught in this exam. 10 people were arrested in Siddharthnagar district as many others were involved, special teams were formed at the district level.

This team has done significant work, with assistance from STF Gorakhpur. Four suspects have been arrested, identified as Bittu Kumar Yadav from Hawda (West Bengal), Sanjay Kumar Gaud from Kailani village in Deoria Kotwali area, Nataraj Prajapati from Bhatni, Deoria, and Jitendra Kumar Bharti from Salempur. Sanjay Kumar Gaud was previously sent to jail by STF in the cybercrime station in Lucknow for his involvement in a leaked exam case.

The accused formed a gang and would keep original mark sheets, blank checks, advance money, admit cards, among other items from many students. They would provide question papers through WhatsApp two hours before the start of the exam. All of them have been arrested. 32 mark sheets, including many original ones, have been seized from the suspects. Original certificates, passbooks, checks, checkbooks, stamp papers, affidavits, application forms, admit cards, mobile phones, laptops, chargers, ATM cards, and PAN cards have been recovered. Further legal proceedings are underway.
